Cloud grass is a pale branched and graceful grass that serves as a good
foil for brightly colored perennials and annuals in beds and borders. It
belongs to the bent grass family, several species of which are used in
lawn-seed mixtures. However, cloud grass itself is an ornamental grass.
Its branched clusters of small white branched clusters of small white
flowers have an airy charm. The blossom panicles are suitable for
cutting and drying, if cut before the flowers are fully mature.
