Canterbury bells (Campanula medum) is old-fashioned cottage-garden plant
that is easily grown and showy when in flower, but it contributes
nothing to the garden at other time. It is planted in small groups where
it will not leave large gaps after blooming is finished. 'Cup and Saucer
Mixed' is the only cultivar of Canterbury bells other than the species
type that is generally available. The flowers are delicate shades of
pink, blue and white.
