Planting distance 1 ft (30 cm)
Flowers from early summer to fall
Any well-drained soil

The Palm Springs daisy (Cladanthus arabicus) deserves to be better
known, for it is an easy and accommodating plant, thriving in a wide
range of conditions and sites and producing an abundance of flowers from
early summer until the first fall frosts. It grows up to 21/2 ft (75 cm)
tall and forms a steadily increasing mound of pale green feathery
leaves. These, like the flowers, are pungently aromatic. The dainty
foliage is almost completely hidden by a succession of single daisylike
flowers, golden yellow and fragrant and about 2 in (5 cm) wide. Palm
Springs daisies are ideal for growing in groups of five to seven plants
in hervaceous and annual borders. They are not suitable for cutting.
