Godetia, an old favorite among border plants, is listed here under botanists have recently reclassified it as Clarkia. Godetias owe their popularity to their bushy habit, abundance of brightly colored flowers, and the ease with which they can be grown. The funnel-shaped blooms - single, double, semidouble, and frilled - are carried at the top of upright leafy spikes from early to late summer. They are suitable for beds, borders, pots, or containers, and as cut flowers.
