Moles can be a well-kept lawn's worst nightmare! These small critters can easily ruin your lawn as they instinctively excavate large heaps of loose soil and build long, interlinking tunnels just underneath the ground's surface. These tunnels can sometimes collapse, causing noticeable sunken channels across the lawn.

Unfortunately, complete eradication of moles in your garden is rarely successful unless you have the help of a professional exterminator. However, there are many different types of traps and poisons available at your local nursery or garden center to help prevent moles from causing damage to your lawn. This method is usually the most effective, although placing smoke pellets in the sunken runs will also deter some moles.
